Conclusion And Thanks

Rev. Andrew Jolly and Mrs. Anne FullertonThis, then, is the UK Oil & Gas Industry Chaplaincy.

We are ordinary folk concerned with the extraordinary folk who are engaged in our industry.

We are thankful for the continuing prayers and practical support received from Christians of all denominations and from a wide spectrum of people of goodwill in and beyond our industry.

We are grateful to Oil and Gas UK for the funding of the Chaplaincy as a wholly independent entity and to the Trustees of the Aberdeen Oil Industry Chaplaincy Trust for enabling the Chaplaincy to do its work, year by year and through many periods of change.

We are also grateful to the Trustees of the Oil Chaplaincy Trust Limited for their diligence, care and concern for those who through illness or injury will never work again.

We are also grateful to the Light Offshore Group and to the Gideons Bible Society as well as to Christian groups within the industry, for generous gifts of Bibles which have been distributed offshore, for their sustained interest, goodwill and especially their prayers.

We are delighted to offer our thanks to the Press and Journal, TOTAL E&P UK Ltd, Ken Taylor Photography, Newsline Scotland, personnel of the Talisman Clyde and the Bluewater Uisge Gorm for many of the photographs used on this website.

Individually and collectively, all help the Chaplaincy to guide people not only to the things that are visible and temporal but most of all to those things that are invisible and eternal.

For the industry in which we work and the Churches we represent, we can have no better purpose than to be pointers to the One who said: "I have come that you might have LIFE, and that you might have it more abundantly".
